Ploceus ( Tempua ) of Malaysia

Ploceus is a genus of birds in the weaver family, Ploceidae. They are native to the Indomalayan and Afrotropical realms.

The genus contains 64 species.  2 of which are found in Malaysia.

The nest of a weaver is usually found on thorny trees or palm fronds and the nests are often built near water or hanging over water where predators cannot reach easily.
